Our volunteer team

A community built on showing up for each other.

We started with one neighbor, one story, and one simple belief: nobody should face their hardest days alone.

Our story

It began around a kitchen table.

When a local family lost their home to a fire, a handful of neighbors gathered to help. They cooked meals, collected clothes, and — with no experience at all — set up a fundraiser that raised more than anyone imagined.

That night we learned two things. First: people are extraordinarily generous when they can see who they're helping. Second: the people who need help most rarely know how to ask for it. Helping Hands Community exists to close that gap — giving donors a trusted place to give, and giving families the tools, coaching, and visibility to tell their story with dignity.

Our mission

Turn compassion into real, lasting relief.

We connect generous people with neighbors facing hardship, and we equip every family with the marketing know-how to run a fundraising campaign that truly gets seen.

Our vision is a world where a medical emergency, a lost job, or a natural disaster never has to mean losing everything — because a community is ready to catch you.

What guides us

Our core values

Dignity first

Every person we help is a neighbor, not a case number. Their story is theirs to tell — we just help it be heard.

Radical transparency

Donors see where every dollar goes, with verified campaigns and honest, regular updates.

Community powered

Our strength is our people — donors, volunteers, and local partners working shoulder to shoulder.

Act with urgency

Hardship doesn't wait, so neither do we. Campaigns are reviewed and live within 48 hours.
